Why This Summit, Why Now?
Canada has made trust the foundation of its AI agenda. As AI adoption accelerates, organisations are expected to deploy AI systems that are secure, privacy-conscious, and accountable.
The challenge is no longer whether AI works. It is how to move from successful pilots to responsible production at scale, across engineering, security, privacy, risk, and governance.
Toronto Tech Summit is built around that challenge. Every session is grounded in the Canadian regulatory landscape, market realities, and practical implementation.
Alongside the summit, TTS Open brings innovation into practice. Teams solve real-world challenges, build working solutions, and present live on the main stage, where an expert panel evaluates their approach and announces the winning teams.

TTS Open 2026
Toronto Tech Summit's flagship competition
TTS Open is Toronto Tech Summit 2026's signature competition: a pre-summit build challenge where real teams tackle real, unsolved enterprise problems in just 72 hours. It is designed to prove that TTS produces outcomes, while driving important conversations. Every submission is a working prototype, not a slide deck of good intentions, and the winners are announced live on the main stage, followed immediately by a full panel discussion unpacking what they built and why it matters.
Roughly ten teams will be confirmed to build. Every team gets a dedicated mentor to guide, not build, their solution, and presents their working MVP to the judging panel. Both tracks compete for their own Distinction award, and one team from each track is named TTS Open Grand Champion and presents their MVP live on stage to the summit attendees.
What you are building is an MVP, built with no-code, low-code, or generative AI.

You enter one track. Each has its own Distinction award, and each produces a Grand Champion who presents on the main stage on 15 October.
Track A
Agentic AI Containment: Defining and Enforcing the Blast Radius
How do you define, enforce, and monitor the operational boundaries of an AI agent in an enterprise workflow? What can it touch autonomously, what needs human sign-off, and what triggers an automatic halt?
Track B
Enterprise-Deployable AI Governance: Closing the Shadow AI Gap
How do you build an enterprise-deployable governance framework that closes the shadow AI gap, covering visibility, enforcement, and model governance, without creating so much friction that it drives the behaviour further underground?

Step 01
Submit your EOI
About five minutes. Team members, expertise, the track you are aiming for, and a two-sentence outline of your approach.
Step 02
Screening
A panel reviews every EOI to confirm a workable, multidisciplinary mix and genuine intent to build.
Step 03
Mentor match
Confirmed teams are notified and matched with a dedicated mentor.
Step 04
Kickoff call
Every confirmed team attends one live kickoff call where the rules, timeline and expectations are walked through before the clock starts.
Step 05
Build and present
Seventy-two hours to build. Triage, then judging. Grand Champions present live on the main stage on 15 October.

Submit your interest
Getting into TTS Open starts with a short Expression of Interest. The form takes about five minutes: your team members (two to four people, multidisciplinary), relevant expertise, which track you are aiming for, and a two-sentence outline of your intended approach.
Registration opens Saturday, 5 September 2026 and closes Saturday, 19 September 2026.

You do not need one to apply. Tick the matchmaking box on the form and we will group solo applicants together based on their skills and what a team still needs, matched before the registration deadline.

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Toronto Tech Summit is an initiative of The Pathfinders Network, a non-profit organisation based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. Our privacy contact is info@torontotechsummit.ca.
What we collect
If you ask to be told when registration opens, we collect your email address and nothing else.
If you register to attend, we collect your name, work email, job title, organisation, seniority, whether you are attending in person or online, any dietary requirement, any accessibility requirement, and your answers to the consent tick-boxes.
If you enter TTS Open, your team lead gives us the team name, the name and email of every member, your chosen track, the expertise on the team and a short outline of your approach. If you are a team member, your lead has provided your details.
If you email us, we hold whatever is in your message.
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised information about which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. See Cookies below.
Why we collect it
To run the summit. Specifically: to admit you to the venue or the livestream, to send you joining instructions and follow-up materials, to cater for you, to arrange any accessibility support you have asked for, to administer TTS Open, and, only if you have ticked the box, to tell you about future summits.
Consenting to attend is not consenting to marketing. We ask for those separately.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade mailing lists.
We do not share your information with anyone else without your consent, unless the law requires us to.
Hearing from us about future summits is optional. Opting in is voluntary, you can attend without it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep registration and attendance records for as long as we need them to run and report on the summit, and, where you have opted in, to tell you about the next one. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, so we can make the summit better. Analytics do not load until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Essential only, or you never answer, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. IP addresses are anonymised.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a refusal and do not show the banner or load analytics.
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings, or at the bottom of any page.
Photography and recording
The summit is photographed and filmed, and those images are published. Attending the summit means you consent to appearing in them. If you would rather not appear, tell us at registration or find a committee member on the day, and our photographers will work around you.

Who can attend
- Admission to the summit is primarily reserved for active cybersecurity, data, AI, and technology professionals who build secure systems, protect their organisations from cyber threats, and manage cybersecurity solutions.
- All registrations are subject to review.
- Students, interns, educators, consultants, individuals not currently employed in IT, and those in sales or marketing roles may be considered after registration review.
- If we are unable to verify an attendee's identity using the information provided during registration, the registration may be cancelled.
- These eligibility requirements apply to all attendees.
